14.11.2018 Quoted and translated from "Frankfurter Allgemeine" (Nov. 13th. 2018)

Four days after their collision with a tanker near Bergen, the Norwegian frigate "Helge Ingstad" has slid down the shore and almost completely sunk. On Tuesday morning, only the radar tower and parts of the stern towered out of the water. According to Norwegian naval defense, the ship is now stable again.

Warned several times before collision

The military had been trying in recent days to keep the heavily damaged ship with steel cables on land. In the evening, the bow dropped and at midnight it was considered too dangerous to continue working on the protection of the ship. At night, all the ropes finally ripped, and the ship slid down the bank of the fjord deeper into the water.
The material damage is now probably even greater, said a spokesman for the sea defense. The warship had participated in the Nato exercise "Trident Juncture" and was heavily armed.
Why the "Helge Ingstad" collided with the tanker in the night of Thursday, remains unclear. According to the radio traffic, the frigate was warned several times before a collision.

then a note: the photos of the extended ferry "Peter Pan" should actually be assigned to the June 28th. The best front photo, however, is one from June 22nd. Therefore, the "Peter Pan" has now been added to the ships of June 22nd as an addendum.
