Location Hamburg Port, >Norderelbe<, near >Kohlenschiffhafen (coal ship harbour)<, course upstream
Comment view southward into the "Kohlenschiffhafen (coal ship harbour)". This dock is hardly ever used today. Before 1908 it was the mouth of the "Köhlbrand", whose mouth was then shifted to the west. The remaining part became the "Kohlenschiffhafen". At the same time, the old "Kohlenschiffhafen", originally a little more to the east, became the "Vulkan Harbour" and outfitting harbour of the "Vulkan Shipyard" (1910 - 1986). In the background the "Tollerort Container Terminal (TCT)" is visible.
