right at the entrance of the small marina of "Schulau". This location is only practical during the sommer months from about 6:30 p.m. until sunset. Good parking facilities are located approximately 5 minutes walk away. A focal length up to 135 mm is sufficient. From this location the Elbe is visible as far as the most west harbour areas of "Hamburg". Since June 2011 the view is somewhat limited due to the new ferry pier, which now is the better photo location (see next photo). But this would only be effective when no cruise liners are leaving Hamburg, because then the pier will be full of spectators up to the last meter. |
