single ship - equipped with 1 crane of lifting capacity of 3 ts - former "Hurtigruten" post ship (1956 - 2012) - in 2012 the ship was decommissioned from its service, later on sold to the "Vestland Rederi AS" and comprehensively overhauled, because she was declared a Norwegian historic monument. In this context, her funnel was restored to its original "BDS" colours - since 2013 >Nordstjernen< has been used in summer for charter trips and expedition cruises from its new basis in Bergen |
