Additional Information former rescue vessel KRS 19 "Vormann Steffens", in 2017 decomissioned, bought by the Hanseatic city of Rostock and then rebuilt at the shipyard TAMSEN MARITIM GmbH, Rostock to a fire-fighting boat. Among other things, the ship received a new bridge house and two modern propulsion engines. The commissioning took place in August 2018. "Albert Wegener" replaces the old firefighting boat "FLB 40-3" (also see there). The daughter boat "Adele" of the former rescue vessel received its last berth in front of the information center of the sea rescue service in Warnemuende.
