5th ship of a series of almost identically constructed multi purpose dry cargo ships (6 vessels - 1 of which without cargo gear) - equipped with 2 cranes of a lifting capacity of 25 ts each and 1 derrick of 25 ts - according to Equasis.org: total loss (status of November 28th 2019) - according to Vesseltracker: On November 28th 2019 at 4 a.m. the vessel had departed from the seaport in Hong Kong bound to the Vung Ang - Son Duong port, Ky Anh town, Vietnam for loading purposes. Two kilometers from Ron Cape and about 10 kilometers from Vung Ang - Son Duong port, water rushed into the engine room quickly, causing the ship to tilt and start sinking. By noon all 18 crew members had been taken off and brought ashore safely. At 1 p.m. the ship had completely sunk. |
