2nd ship of a pair of identically constructed cargo ships - the ship was lengthened in 1990 - on October 28th 2013 around 3 o'clock in the Kiel-Canal near Brunsbuttel the vessel collided with the Dutch gas tanker >Coral Ivory< - up to the rescue, 3 days later, the channel was closed - the collision created two holes in the ship's hull - after a thorough investigation by the insurer, the ship was declared a total loss and sold to Fornaes Shipbreaking ApS in January 2014 for demolition - it arrived Grenaa, Denmark on February 6th |
