3rd ship of a series of identically constructed cargo ships (4 vessels) - equipped with 1 derrick of a lifting capacity of 5 ts and 3 derricks of 3 ts each - on June 23th 2013 the ship sank in Mediterranean sea in position 35 59N 030 24E, some 60 nautical miles south of Antalya, Turkey. The vessel issued distress signal early in the morning reporting water ingress in one or more holds, probably because of inappropriate cargo stowage. >Tayyar Senkaya I< loaded with steel roll was en route from Eregli to Mersin.
