destroyer of type DD 710, ex US "Gearing" class (originally 98 vessels) - in 1950's modernized (FRAM MK I) and also in the 1960's (FRAM MK II). >Eversole< received seven "Battle Stars" for Korean War service. In 1973 she was transferred to Turkey and renamed >Gayret<. >Gayret< was stricken in 1995.
