2nd ship of a series of identically constructed coastal cargo liners (6 vessels), also see >Simon B<, (>Leona<, >Lene D<) and >Maike< - on April 3rd 2012 >Carrier< stranded on the rocks at Raynes Jetty in North Wales in stormy weather. After the crew of 7 were rescued she was reported to have three wholes in the starboard side of her hull and was later declared a total loss. Up to May 11th the ship was completely dismantled in situ and removed by the company PCG Demolition. |
