type ship of a pair of identically constructed coasters of the sonamed type "sea snake", shortened version - in 2019 the ship was renamed >Sofia<, also see there - according to "Equasis.org": total loss (status of November 28th 2024) - according to Marine News 01/2025: sailing from Ustka, Poland to Elleholm, Sweden caught fire after an explosion in the forecastle on November 28th 2024 damaging it and blowing off all the hatch covers. The 5 crew were airlifted off and the fire put out. She was to be towed by German tug FAIRPLAY 20 (IMO 9112739) to Gdansk, Poland but she was not allowed to berth so was taken on to Landskrona, Sweden arriving December 4th where it was berthed at the Oresund Drydocks AB and sold for scrap. |
