9th ship of a series of identically constructed coastal cargo liners of Sietas type 33e (9 vessels - German ice class E2, 2 welded decks, 1 more superstructure deck - without cargo gear), also see >Mistral< - the ship stranded on November 26th 2012 in the Kattegat off Hjelm Island, Denmark, in position 56.08N, 10.48E. Refloated November 28th with tug assistance and escorted to Grenaa where found to be beyond economical repair. Sold to Fornaes Shipbreaking ApS, Grenaa, for demolition and delivered December 3rd 2012. |
